Meet the Artist

Hi friends! I wanted to let you all know that I've made the decision to change my full name. This decision wasn't made lightly and has actually been something I'd quietly thought about for a few years.

There's a lot of personal reasons for the change but what it ultimately comes down to is wanting to take control and pride of my own identity- to make it truly my own.

I now go by Abigail Starling- Abby for short is perfectly fine and encouraged, and I'm also still okay with being called "Leek" of course!

Because I've been asked- I will be changing the name legally, but have some other important stuff to sort out first before I move ahead with paperwork etc.

I know that for some this will be an adjustment and it's hard to break speech habits. (I'm certainly not perfect when it comes to remembering changes in name and preferred pronouns.) I will totally understand the old name slipping now and then and won't be upset- I just appreciate the effort and emotional support.

Thought it would be fun and cute to tell everyone with a simple Meet the Artist thing as a way of reintroducing myself. <3
